Trivia Night! Join us for the Third Annual Fish Trivia night at the Pressbox. All ages and levels of fish knowledge welcome! This is a very fun night, and a great opportunity for you to meet and play with fisheries students, professors, and professionals.
Guest Speaker: Eric Richins, University of Montana, Wildlife Biology graduate student, will present his research thesis: Terrestrial Food Web Effects of a Stream Invasion: Can New Zealand Mud Snails interrupt spacial subsidies?. He's studying how invasive New Zealand mud snails affect riparian and terrestrial food webs.
Guest Speaker: Will Schreck of Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks will be talking about his experience as a fisheries technician. Will loves his job, and he'll tell you why! He'll also give tips on what you can be doing now to get you on your way to your first fisheries internship or job.
Guest Speaker: Pat Saffel, Regional Fish Manager at Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks is going to present many of the project he has worked on throughout his career, his educational and professional path to a successful career in fisheries, and how AFS has helped him get there.

Montana Chapter AFS (MCAFS)Annual Meeting - Volunteer to help at this meeting and your registration and room fees will be waived (rooms are shared). It's a great opportunity to network, see current Montana fisheries research, and get more involved in MCAFS!
Western Division AFS (WDAFS)Annual Meeting and Fifth Annual Student Colloquium - This year's WDAFS meeting and student colloquium will be held in sunny Mazatlan! We're working with local organizations to try and get some travel grants procured for a few UM AFS members. Watch here for more information!
