BOR Research Needs Within the Rocky Mountains CESU
The Great Plains Regional offices of the Bureau of Reclamation have identified the following list of research needs as potential study items. Please note that this list is only to be considered as informational, and that there is no commitment by BOR to perform or fund these projects.   • Continued work on determining hydrologic connection, if any, between Turquoise Reservoir and the Dinero Tunnel ( Colorado )
  • Possible opportunities for accomplishing cooperative work related to museum property, such as accession, curation, etc.
  • Possible studies that examine the stream channel and floodplain areas downstream of reservoirs to estimate inundation levels at various release rates within and near the normal operating range for the reservoir
  • Possible improvement to reservoir inflow forecasting models
  • Possible improvements to hydrologic model inputs specific to our Projects such as estimates of reservoir evaporation and /or evapotranspiration
  • Survey of listed feline (ocelot and jaguarundi) occupation in habitat present at Choke Canyon Reservoir ( Texas )
