Field Work in Forest Resource Management

As a student in this program you will make extensive use of nearby forest and range lands, including the 3,500-acre bandy Ranch and the 28,000-acre Lubrecht Experimental Forest. Lubrecht Experimental forest is one of the largest in the country and students manage their own thinning, harvesting, and forestry ecology projects on the forest. Wood science and technology classes operate a small portable sawmill and solar dry kiln. After spring semester of your sophomore year, you may attend a forest resources camp at Lubrecht Forest.
