The USFS Middle Leader Program (MLP), "Being a Leader in the Forest Service", is comprised of three one-week session, each with a theme for the week. The classroom component of the MLP forms the core of the overall program. By the end of the first week, our classroom environment develops into a "safe space" for participants to have candid conversations regarding their workplace challenges. This allows for greater networking and interconnections between and among cohort members and optimizes the impact of the dialogue centered around topical area noted in the program curriculum below.
The following is the 2013 curriculum for the Southwestern Cohort as it stands at the end of August 2012. Not all presenters listed have been confirmed and are therefore subject to change. There will likely be some other minor changes to this curriculum prior to the start date of the program, but this will give the reader a good idea of what they might expect as a participant. An updated and more closely finalized agenda will be posted in early January 2013.
