Ryan Bracewell, a PhD student working with professor Diana Six, was awarded the prestigious Western Forest Insect Work Conference Graduate Student Scholarship. This is the top award for a graduate student working in Forest Entomology in western North America. Ryan’s work focuses on the coevolution and cospeciation of western pine beetle, its fungal symbionts, and ponderosa pine using cutting edge molecular techniques including RAD-sequencing.
