Advanced Timber Harvesting Class
This year's FORS435 Advanced Timber Harvesting conducted a Best Management Practices field review of a timber sale on the North Fork of Elk Creek in Lubrecht. Earlier this fall they visited the site and conducted an audit of BMPs - after they first studied Montana's field review process and streamside management zone regulations. Last week they visited the site again and talked with Scott Keuhn from Tricon Timber and Joe Fraser of Salmon River Wood about industry trends. The DNRC manages this portion of Lubrecht Experimental Forest.
