Who is involved?
The American Fisheries Society UM Student Sub-Unit has members that range from Wildlife Biology majors who are interested in becoming fisheries professionals to journalism majors who are interested in the resource and enjoy fishing.
How do I join?
It is easy, come to an upcoming meeting or contact an officer! Meetings are every other Thursday at 6:00pm in FOR 305. Ask to join our group on Facebook. For more information, email us at email@example.com and get on the email list to receive job announcements and updates about group activities.
There is no fee to join the UM AFS sub-unit. However, consider joining our parent organization, the American Fisheries Society. Students pay only $20/year for membership. Graduating soon? Young professionals pay only $40/year for the first three years after graduation. More information and benefits can be found here.
How much time is involved?
You can put in as much time as your schedule allows. But the more involved you are, the more you'll benefit from your membership.
