Natural Resource Environmental Policy Forum

The forum series is convened by the Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Policy (CNEP), in cooperation with UM’s College of Forestry and Conservation, School of Law, Bolle Center for People and Forests, Resource Conservation Program, Environmental Studies Program and Department of Geography. Conference: Community-Owned Forests in the US. June 16-19, 2005

The Bolle Center co-sponsored with the Communities Committee and others a conference entitled, "Community-owned Forests: Possibilities, Experiences, and Lessons Learned" during June 16-19, 2005. The conference was intended for people who either have been involved in owning and managing community forests or are interested in learning how to do so. The conference was held in Missoula, MT. Panel Discussion: The U.S. Forest Service Planning Rules: What They Mean, Why They Matter?

On March 7, 2005 in the North Underground Lecture Hall on The University of Montana campus, the Bolle Center organized a panel of diverse people to discuss the USDA US Forest Service's recently adopted new National Forest Management Act (NFMA) regulations governing land and resource management planning on the national forests.
