Grad student receives Climate Science Center fellowship

Drew Lyons, a first-year M.S. student working with professor Solomon Dobrowski, recently received a Dept. of Interior Northwest Climate Science Center Fellowship. He'll join a cohort of fellows from Univ. of Washington, Boise State University, Washington State Univ. and Western Washington Univ. involved in actionable science to support climate resilience in the Northwest.

Lyons, from Olympia, Wash., is studying drought effects on planted seedling mortality. His research is in collaboration with the U.S. Forest Service.
