Tues. Jan. 31, 4-5 p.m.

UC North Ballroom, reception to follow

Land treatment success today requires scale and priority. Increasingly, this means alignment of mutual objectives through collaborative process. This lecture will explore how to focus such efforts.

Jim Hubbard recently retired from the  position of Deputy Chief, U.S. Forest Service. He served in this capacity for 11 years. Prior to Federal service he was the Colorado State Forester for 20 years.  In addition to an emphasis on wildland fire, Mr. Hubbard was responsible for forest management and protection based on an all-lands approach.

This lecture is supported by an estate gift from Charles E. (Mike) Hardy and Mabelle Hardy. Mike graduated from the forestry school at UM in 1939 and was a forester and fire researcher for the U.S. Forest Service.
