The mission of Forest Operations Research and Management Sciences Group is to 1) conduct research in the decision sciences as applied to forest operations and management, and 2) provide field applicable decision support tools to help forest managers and engineers in making better decisions for economically efficient and environmentally viable forest management activities.  Research areas include timber harvest scheduling, transportation and road network design, forest operational planning, and GIS and remote sensing applications in forestry.
