Personal Summary

My research focuses on ecological effects associated with biomass harvest from forest restoration treatments in ponderosa pine forests of the Southwestern U.S. Specifically, I am interested in the effects of restoration treatments and variable levels of biomass harvest on fuel dynamics and potential resulting fire behavior. More generally, I am interested in forest and fire ecology, fuels treatment efficacy and longevity, and landscape-level fuels and vegetation management.
