Projects

We believe any decision to manage natural resources is necessarily a social process; people choosing how to interact with and utilize the environment around them. Through close partnership with natural resource managers (both private and public; current and future) we seek to ensure these management decisions are informed by both ecological and social sciences. Our projects are often collaborative in nature, combining expertise from relevant fields to address contemporary natural resource issues. We have a pragmatic approach to research, employing theories and methods from sociology, psychology, demographics, and geography to questions facing natural resource managers, landowners, and communities.
