Northern Rockies Fire Hire Job Outreach The Northern Rockies Region of the Forest Service hiring event is November 1 - November 15. They are looking for a committed, hardworking, highly skilled workforce to suppress wildfires and work in fuels management on 11 National Forests located in Idaho, parts of the Dakotas, and Montana. Included is the outreach are GS-04 through GS-09 permanent fire positions. The vacancy announcements for these positions will go live and be posted on November 1 on www.usajobs.gov. Those who wish to be considered for these positions in the fire hire event must apply to the vacancy announcements by the cutoff date of 11:59 Eastern standard time November 15, 2017.
