University of Namibia Administrators Visit Montana

Administrators from the University of Namibia were in Montana in Sept.
In Sept., administrators from the University of Namibia visited the College of Forestry and Conservation to discuss our ongoing partnership and how we could expand our joint work in community-based conservation to include other strengths of The University of Montana. The director of UNAM’s Wildlife and Ecotourism program, director of the Kutima Mililo campus of UNAM, Dean of the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and UNAM’s Pro-Vice Chancellor spent a week touring campus, meeting with UM faculty and administrators, and visiting protected areas in the region including Glacier National Park and the National Bison Range. UM is continuing to partner with UNAM on field-based coursework and research related to wildlife management and ecotourism in southern Africa.
