Professor Nie Wins UM Teaching Award
Congratulations to Professor Martin Nie, who was recently recognized with the University of Montana 2016 Distinguished Teaching Award.
As Professor Jill Belsky said in her nomination for the award, "For the the past 14 years, Professor Nie has been at the forefront of identifying, critically evaluating and teaching cutting edge issues in U.S. natural resource policy."
Students say that Professor Nie conveys a lawyer's knowledge of laws and policies into a living, breathing, and conflict-laden real world of U.S. natural resource policy and practices. Nie is widely recognized by CFC students and across UM for his quality of teaching as a uniquely informed, critical, passionate, challenging, inspirational, and even transformational instructor.
